MANGGARAI, BAJOPOS.COM – Suasana berbeda tampak di lingkungan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Manggarai, Rabu (11/2/2026). Bukan sekadar pertemuan organisasi, puluhan pengurus Organisasi Siswa Intra Madrasah (OSIM) justru tengah ditempa menjadi calon pemimpin masa depan melalui kegiatan Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan Terpadu (LDKT).

Mengangkat tema “Membentuk Pemimpin yang Berkarakter, Inovatif dan Berintegritas di Era Digital”, kegiatan ini menjadi ruang pembinaan serius bagi pengurus OSIM periode 2025–2026 bersama perwakilan peserta didik. LDKT dirancang bukan hanya untuk memperkuat struktur organisasi, tetapi juga membangun fondasi karakter dan visi kepemimpinan yang relevan dengan tantangan zaman.

Wakil Kepala Madrasah Bidang Kesiswaan, Husen Hajar, menegaskan bahwa LDKT bukan sekadar agenda seremonial tahunan.

“LDKT adalah proses pembinaan. Di sini peserta belajar tentang tanggung jawab, disiplin, serta bagaimana bekerja sama secara efektif dalam organisasi,” ujarnya saat membuka kegiatan.

Menurutnya, kepemimpinan tidak lahir secara instan, melainkan dibentuk melalui latihan, pembiasaan, dan pendampingan yang berkelanjutan.

Kepala MAN 2 Manggarai, Masrum Bata, dalam arahannya menekankan pentingnya kepemimpinan visioner di tengah arus digitalisasi yang kian masif. Ia mengawali materi dengan pembahasan tentang Manajemen Organisasi dan Visi Kepemimpinan, menantang para pengurus OSIM untuk tidak hanya aktif, tetapi juga strategis.

“Pemimpin hari ini harus mampu membaca tantangan zaman. Teknologi harus dimanfaatkan secara positif dan produktif. Organisasi membutuhkan arah yang jelas agar setiap program memiliki dampak nyata,” tegasnya.

Masrum juga menegaskan komitmen madrasah dalam memperkuat pendidikan karakter sebagai pondasi utama generasi unggul. Baginya, kecerdasan tanpa integritas tidak akan membawa perubahan berarti.

Sementara itu, Pembina OSIM MAN 2 Manggarai, Rafik Asril, memastikan bahwa LDKT tidak berhenti pada pelaksanaan kegiatan. Evaluasi dan refleksi akan terus dilakukan agar nilai-nilai yang diperoleh benar-benar diimplementasikan dalam program kerja OSIM.

“Kami ingin nilai kepemimpinan itu hidup dalam keseharian organisasi, bukan hanya saat pelatihan berlangsung,” ungkapnya.

Melalui LDKT ini, OSIM MAN 2 Manggarai diharapkan semakin solid, profesional, dan mampu menjadi motor penggerak kegiatan kesiswaan yang inovatif serta berdampak luas. Kegiatan ini sekaligus menegaskan posisi MAN 2 Manggarai sebagai madrasah yang konsisten menyiapkan generasi berkarakter kuat, berintegritas, dan siap memimpin di era digital.(Faidin) 

Riset Genetik Ungkap Bom Waktu Penyakit Kronis di Komunitas Suku Bajo Sikka

SIKKA, BAJOPOS.COM – Kehidupan pesisir yang selama ini identik dengan laut dan aktivitas fisik ternyata tak sepenuhnya melindungi warga Suku Bajo dari ancaman penyakit kronis.

Sebuah riset genetik dan kesehatan mengungkap fakta mengejutkan: obesitas, hipertensi, kolesterol tinggi hingga gangguan ginjal telah menjadi “bom waktu” kesehatan di tengah komunitas Suku Bajo di Kabupaten Sikka, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT).

Temuan ini merupakan hasil Studi Genetik dan Kesehatan yang dilakukan Tim Mochtar Riady Institute for Nanotechnology–Universitas Pelita Harapan (MRIN-UPH) berkolaborasi dengan Varian Bio dan Klinik Utama Agradace, yang meneliti warga Suku Bajo di Kampung Wuring, Kecamatan Alok Barat, serta Desa Nangahale, Kecamatan Talibura.

Hasil riset tersebut dipaparkan langsung oleh Prof. Herawati Sudoyo, MS, PhD, pada Senin, 2 Februari 2026, di Klinik Utama Agradace, Kelurahan Wolomarang, Jalan Trans Utara Flores.

Riset yang berlangsung selama 17–22 Juli 2023 itu melibatkan 266 responden berusia 22 hingga 85 tahun, terdiri dari 154 perempuan dan 112 laki-laki. Data menunjukkan, obesitas dan kelebihan berat badan lebih dominan dialami peserta perempuan, dengan 35 persen mengalami obesitas dan 48,1 persen obesitas sentral.

Tak hanya itu, lebih dari 83 persen peserta tercatat mengalami peningkatan kadar kolesterol jahat (LDL). Kondisi kesehatan kian mengkhawatirkan karena 78 persen peserta menderita tekanan darah di atas normal, sementara 67 persen peserta laki-laki mengalami asam urat tinggi, dan 55 persen di antaranya merupakan perokok aktif.

Dalam aspek metabolik, riset mencatat 16 persen peserta mengalami pra-diabetes, 75 persen berada pada kondisi normal, dan 9 persen telah masuk kategori diabetes.

Sementara itu, pada fungsi ginjal, hasil studi menunjukkan 10 persen peserta mengalami gangguan ginjal kronis, 29 persen mengalami penurunan fungsi ginjal, dan 61 persen masih berada dalam kondisi normal. Gangguan ginjal ini mayoritas dipicu oleh asam urat tinggi dan hipertensi, dengan 55 persen kasus terkait asam urat dan 68 persen berkaitan dengan tekanan darah tinggi.

Prof. Herawati menegaskan, temuan riset ini seharusnya menjadi alarm keras bagi para pemangku kepentingan, terutama dalam merumuskan kebijakan kesehatan yang menitikberatkan pencegahan sejak dini, bukan sekadar pengobatan.

“Melihat data-data hasil riset ini membuat kita harus khawatir. Penyakit semakin tinggi, bahkan ada sekitar 45 orang yang antre untuk cuci darah. Cuci darah itu mahal. Bagaimana kalau kita bisa menurunkan hanya lima orang saja dari hipertensi, obesitas, atau diabetes. Penyakit-penyakit ini akan berdampak ke ginjal, kebutaan, hingga kelemahan otot. Kalau sudah dirawat dan diobati, biayanya sangat tinggi,” ungkap Prof. Herawati.

Ia menjelaskan, obesitas atau kelebihan berat badan erat kaitannya dengan perubahan pola makan dan gaya hidup masyarakat.

“Sekarang orang tidak lagi banyak melakukan aktivitas fisik. Pola makan lebih banyak gorengan dan lemak. Itu membuat tubuh menjadi gemuk. Padahal, gemuk berlebihan itu tidak sehat. Dari situ akan muncul penyakit lain seperti darah tinggi, diabetes, dan penyakit kronis lainnya,” jelasnya.

Menurutnya, dalam dunia kedokteran, pencegahan selalu jauh lebih murah dan lebih efektif dibandingkan pengobatan, terlebih untuk penyakit kronis yang berdampak jangka panjang terhadap kualitas hidup masyarakat.(Faidin)

SIKKA, BAJOPOS.COM – Peran mahasiswa tidak hanya berhenti di ruang kuliah. Mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Maumere (Unimof) justru hadir langsung di ruang kelas SMA Negeri 1 Waigete untuk mendorong perubahan cara belajar mengajar melalui pemanfaatan teknologi kecerdasan buatan.

Melalui kegiatan Pelatihan Pembelajaran STEM Berbasis Artificial Intelligence (AI) yang digelar Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) Unimof, mahasiswa bersama dosen pendamping terlibat aktif dalam mendampingi guru-guru SMAN 1 Waigete, Senin (9/2/2026).

Kegiatan yang berlangsung sejak pukul 08.00 hingga 11.15 WITA tersebut diikuti oleh 12 guru dari berbagai mata pelajaran. Pelatihan ini menjadi ruang kolaborasi antara dunia kampus dan sekolah dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan di era digital.

Mahasiswa Unimof tidak hanya berperan sebagai peserta, tetapi turut membantu proses pendampingan praktik pembelajaran STEM berbasis AI. Mereka terlibat dalam diskusi, simulasi penggunaan teknologi, hingga penerapan sederhana yang dapat langsung digunakan di kelas.

Ketua Tim Pelaksana, Zakaria Al Farizi, M.Pd, menyampaikan bahwa keterlibatan mahasiswa menjadi bagian penting dari penguatan kompetensi calon pendidik.

“Mahasiswa FKIP perlu dibiasakan terjun langsung ke lapangan. Mereka belajar memahami realitas sekolah sekaligus menjadi jembatan transformasi teknologi pembelajaran,” ujarnya.

Setelah sesi pembukaan, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan pemaparan materi dan diskusi interaktif. Antusiasme guru terlihat sejak awal, terutama ketika mahasiswa dan dosen memperagakan pemanfaatan AI dalam pembelajaran STEM yang aplikatif dan kontekstual.

Pada sesi praktik, peserta dibagi ke dalam empat kelompok sesuai bidang keilmuan. Guru Biologi didampingi dosen Pendidikan Biologi Agustina Kiden Lewar, guru Fisika oleh Zakaria Al Farizi, M.Pd bersama Muhammad Epi Rusdin, M.Pd, guru Kimia oleh Jayadin, M.Pd, dan guru Matematika oleh Dian Nan Brilliant, E.Mat, dengan dukungan mahasiswa sebagai pendamping lapangan.

Salah satu praktik menarik diperlihatkan pada kelompok Fisika yang merancang lampu otomatis berbasis sensor ultrasonik. Mahasiswa membantu menjelaskan konsep kerja alat sekaligus mengaitkannya dengan pembelajaran berbasis STEM.

Sepanjang kegiatan, interaksi antara guru dan mahasiswa berlangsung aktif. Diskusi dua arah tersebut tidak hanya memperkaya wawasan guru, tetapi juga mengasah kemampuan mahasiswa dalam berkomunikasi dan menerapkan ilmu pendidikan di lapangan.

Salah satu peserta pelatihan, Alforusus Wajo, S.Pd, guru Fisika SMAN 1 Waigete, mengapresiasi model kolaborasi tersebut.

“Kehadiran mahasiswa membuat suasana pelatihan lebih hidup. Kami bisa berdiskusi langsung dan saling berbagi pengalaman terkait penggunaan AI dalam pembelajaran,” katanya.

Melalui kegiatan ini, FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Maumere berharap kolaborasi dosen, mahasiswa, dan guru dapat terus diperkuat sebagai upaya menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi.

Ke depan, mahasiswa Unimof diharapkan tidak hanya menjadi calon guru, tetapi juga agen perubahan yang mampu membawa inovasi pembelajaran hingga ke sekolah-sekolah di daerah. (Faidin)

When, while the lovely valley teems with vapour around me, and the meridian sun strikes the upper surface of the impenetrable foliage of my trees, and but a few stray gleams steal into the inner sanctuary, I throw myself down among the tall grass by the trickling stream; and, as I lie close to the earth, a thousand unknown plants are noticed by me: when I hear the buzz of the little world among the stalks, and grow familiar with the countless indescribable forms of the insects and flies, then I feel the presence of the Almighty, who formed us in his own image, and the breath of that universal love which bears and sustains us, as it floats around us in an eternity of bliss; and then, my friend, when darkness overspreads my eyes, and heaven and earth seem to dwell in my soul and absorb its power, like the form of a beloved mistress, then I often think with longing, Oh, would I could describe these conceptions, could impress upon paper all that is living so full and warm within me, that it might be the mirror of my soul, as my soul is the mirror of the infinite God!

O my friend — but it is too much for my strength — I sink under the weight of the splendour of these visions! A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was created for the bliss of souls like mine.

I am so happy, my dear friend, so absorbed in the exquisite sense of mere tranquil existence, that I neglect my talents. I should be incapable of drawing a single stroke at the present moment; and yet I feel that I never was a greater artist than now.
